Blogtober 2018

It’s no surprise that my blog post entries have dwindled in recent months. I could list the reasons and explain my absence, but instead, I’ve decided to challenge myself for the month of October.

A couple weeks ago I came across the Blogtober Challenge on Instagram and took it as my sign from the universe that it’s time to set the excuses aside and write daily. Blogtober is a blogging challenge to publish new content every day for the month of October. Every. Day.

Personally, I try to write daily in a physical journal, but sometimes even with that, I fail. Daily writing is something that I’ve found is beneficial for my mental health as well as fulfilling for my soul. So taking on the Blogtober challenge is something that I think, really, can only benefit me at this point. Even if the prospect of daily writing is a little daunting.

Thankfully, I have a few half-written blog posts that will finally be making an appearance on my blog. I’m nervous about posting some of them and excited to share others.

Some of the posts will be from my normal blog topics and I will, of course, need to venture outside of my comfort zone and write about things I haven’t written about before. I’m actually really excited to see what I come up with and how interesting it might be for those of you out there reading my posts. I’m hoping that I can keep your interest for the majority of the month. I know in reality there will be posts that are less popular or things that maybe my readers aren’t as interested in. So please, if you have any interesting ideas or topics or ANYTHING you’d like to recommend or suggest I write about, please don’t hesitate to reach out and let me know what you’re interested in reading.

Lord knows I’ll be needing the ideas to keep me going 31 straight days.

Any fellow blogging friends willing to join me on this challenge?? If so, let me know so I can check out your blog as well! We will need all the support we can get this month!

Cheers to Blogtober and the posts to come! 🙂

Having exhausted myself posting just 5 days a week, I’m always in awe of those who choose to blog daily for a month and actually accomplish it. I can’t even imagine the brain power that must use. Best of luck! I look forward to your daily posts!

    1. Thank you!! I think if I didn’t have 15 half written posts waiting in my drafts, I wouldn’t have taken on the challenge. So that makes things a lot easier on me. It’s going to be a doozy for sure, but I’m excited to see what comes from it 😉

I would love to try to do something like this! Are you planning to use a template of things to blog about everyday or are you trusting yourself to come up with them organically?

    1. The last week of September I created a list for myself of planned out topics. I checked different templates on Pinterest but I didn’t want to commit to them entirely so I kind of created my own type of thing. Let me know if you end up joining in the challenge! Pinterest has a lot of options as far as templates you could follow for ideas! 🙂
