BioKleen – That’s What’s Up

I haven’t written about a product or experience for my That’s What’s Up series in a little while, but boy do I have some things to add to my collection!

As I’ve mentioned before on this blog, I’ve been taking a critical look at my lifestyle choices and trimming the fat, so to speak, in areas that I think will have a positive impact on more than just myself. More specifically, I’ve focused a lot on where I’m spending my money. I’ve taken an analytical look at the companies and types of products I’m purchasing and have been making changes accordingly. Additionally, I’ve been pursuing a much more green lifestyle outlook. Sometimes that definition changes for what I consider to be “green” in my book (because of course there are different definitions everywhere you look) but for the most part, it means using more natural, simple ingredients and the cherry on top for me is if a local brand or company produces it.

Well if you’re from the Pacific Northwest and looking for someone that hits all those checkboxes, have I got the cleaning line for you!

BioKleen.

Biokleen is a company that I came across when I was living in an apartment with a 99% potty trained puppy a few years ago. My first purchase from them was their Bac-Out Stain + Odor Remover and since purchasing, I will never buy another thing for pet accidents or stain and odor removal. Ever.

Anyone who has gone through potty training with a puppy knows how it goes. Most of the time they’re great, but very occasionally they slip up and have an accident. Not a daily occurrence, but something you want to have a product on hand for nonetheless. The most important part, from what I have learned and realized after a few accidents here and there, is that the product must not only eliminate the current stain and odor but it must also be able to completely remove the enzymes that pet potty accidents leave behind. The enzymes are what retains the smells that the pet and other visiting pets (as I learned the hard way) will smell and use as an indicator to know where to go potty.

Biokleen’s Bac-Out product is the only product that I have found that does this the first time you use it. It works so well, I started using it on other things that were stinky too. The garbage cans, the kitchen sink, areas in the bathroom. etc. Then I found out that Biokleen has an entire cleaning line for all the different areas of your home that need to be deep cleaned in a green way.

Let’s go back to my definition of green to further understand why this company is amazing and more than deserving of your business.

Biokleen is not only the most effective cleaner I have ever used, made locally in Vancouver, WA, but it is also plant-based, a family owned business, and never tested on animals. Oh, that’s still not enough for you to consider why this product is amazing? Well how about the fact that it’s also made with 100% renewable energy offsets, as well as prioritizing their water consumption?!

You guys, this company is basically my dream come true.

I’ve never been someone who cared to rant about the newest cleaning product I found and why I love it. But with this company, you are getting so much more than an effective and powerful cleaning product. You’re truly helping to improve the state of the planet and supporting small business.

Their entire line of products is worth considering. And the fact that you can easily find it at most retailers makes it even more approachable. And if it’s not somewhere near you, you can absolutely find it on Amazon. So far, I have personally used the Bac-Out, the all-purpose cleaner, the dish liquid, the bathroom cleaner, and the laundry soap. Once I purchased these products I have completely eliminated their chemical-laden counterparts that are normally in my cleaning supply closet. I have continuously purchased their products and as they come out with more for my cleaning needs, I will continue to try their new products.

Check out their website for more of their cleaning line and see if they have something that you are about to run out of. Give this brand a try and see for yourself how much better it works than their competitors. You barely need any product at all and it gets the job done better than all the other traditional, big company cleaning products you typically purchase. Your conscience and the planet will thank you for it!

THAT’S WHAT’S UP IS A SERIES HERE THAT ENCOMPASSES A WIDE VARIETY OF THINGS I ENCOUNTER IN MY DAY TO DAY EXISTENCE WHICH MAKE ME STOP AND GO “DAMN, THAT’S WHAT’S UP!” IDEAS SUCH AS RECYCLABLES, BIODEGRADABILITY, SUSTAINABILITY, MOVING AWAY FROM ANIMAL TESTING AND BY-PRODUCTS, AND JUST BETTERING THE PLANET AND HUMANITY OVERALL, ETC. I LOOK FORWARD TO SHARING THE LITTLE BITS OF GOODNESS I FIND ALONG MY WAY AND I HOPE THAT YOU ENJOY THEM TOO. Thanks for the recommendation Jo! We use Ecos? Or whatever it’s called, all I know is that it was brightly colored and said “all-natural”… I never really thought to question that statement.. and now I’m sitting her about to dive into that company’s ethics and figure out all the deets. 😂 but I had no idea BioKleen was a thing and now I want to try it! Lol

    1. Yes! You definitely should! I think the icing on top too is that it’s actually made here in Vancouver from a family owned business. So you know they care about the environment and bettering the planet instead of just making money for being just “all-natural” and not doing anything to improve the state of the planet. I’m telling you it’s worth it girl 😉
